Deep Vacuuming & Extraction

A regular vacuum only lifts what's on the surface. Deep vacuuming and hot-water extraction pulls salt, embedded dirt, pet hair, food and drink stains, smoke residue, mold, and odor out of the fibers themselves — the difference between covering the problem and eliminating it. We deliver full extraction service mobile at your driveway, garage, or workplace anywhere in metro Detroit.

Vacuuming Removes Surface Dirt. Extraction Removes Everything Else.

Most people think their vehicle interior gets clean when they vacuum it. In reality, a vacuum only pulls loose surface material — sand you can see, crumbs sitting on the mat, hair on top of the seats. Everything deeper stays where it is. Salt from Michigan winters that's worked its way to the base of the carpet. Sticky food and drink residue that's dried into the fibers. Pet hair embedded so far into cloth or leather it can't be lifted by suction alone. Mold spores from a leaky sunroof or flooded floor pan. Smoke residue coating every fiber in the cabin. Odor-causing bacteria trapped in the padding underneath the carpet.

Hot-water extraction changes the equation entirely. We inject hot cleaning solution deep into the carpet, upholstery, or fabric, then immediately extract it back out — bringing everything dissolved in the fibers with it. Salt, dirt, stain compounds, allergens, bacteria, mold, and odor sources all come out in one process. It's the same industrial-grade technology that professional home carpet cleaners use, adapted for vehicles and delivered mobile at your address. When it's done, the vehicle isn't just visually cleaner — it's actually clean at the fiber level for the first time since it was new.

The Process

3 Step Process For How The Service Works

Step 1: Deep Vacuum

Before extraction starts, we do a thorough deep vacuum of every surface — carpets, floor pans, seats (including underneath the cushions and between the seat rails), trunk, cargo area, headliner, air vents, and dashboard crevices. This removes all loose material so extraction can focus on what's embedded in the fibers.

Step 2: Hot-Water Extraction

Hot cleaning solution is injected into the carpets, cloth seats, floor mats, and cargo area, then immediately extracted back out with the dissolved dirt, salt, stain compounds, odor sources, and bacteria. This is the step that transforms the interior. We work systematically through the entire vehicle, extracting until the water coming back out runs clean.

Step 3: Targeted Treatments

Any specialty concerns — mold, smoke odor, pet urine, deep stains — get targeted follow-up treatment with the right products for the job. Antimicrobials for mold. Enzyme treatments for biological odors. Stain-specific spot treatments for anything remaining. We don't stop until the vehicle is genuinely clean, not just visually clean.

Our Services

What Deep Extraction Actually Removes

 in

Salt stains are one of the biggest reasons customers call us. Michigan winter salt tracks in on shoes and works its way to the base of your carpet, where it dries into the visible white or gray rings you can't seem to get out. Household carpet cleaners just re-dissolve the salt and let it dry back in place. Hot-water extraction physically removes the salt from the carpet in one motion — floor mats, carpeting, door panel cloth, and cargo areas. It's the only way to actually get salt stains out for good.

 in

Regular vacuums push embedded pet hair around instead of lifting it out. We use extraction combined with specialized tools designed for pet hair — working fur out of carpet fibers, cloth and leather seats, cargo areas, and every seam where hair collects. Short hair, long hair, white hair on dark interiors, and fur that's been ground in for months. If you've been fighting pet hair with your household vacuum and losing, this is the service that finally solves it.

 in

Coffee, juice, soda, milkshakes, ice cream, ketchup, chocolate, wine, and everything else that's been spilled in the back seat. Extraction dissolves the stain compounds and pulls them out of the fibers. Older stains may lighten rather than disappear fully depending on age and cause, but results are usually dramatic — and always better than trying to spot-treat with a household cleaner.

 in

Pet urine, vomit, and other accidents soak deep into carpet and padding — which is why they smell for weeks after the visible mess is cleaned up. Extraction pulls out the liquid, enzyme treatment breaks down what caused the smell, and the interior comes back to livable. Same process works for kids' accidents, spilled milk that soured, and any biological source of odor that a surface wipe won't fix.

 in

Mold in a vehicle usually starts one of three ways — a leaky sunroof, a flooded floor pan from a clogged drain, or a windshield/window that was left cracked during a rainstorm. Once mold starts growing in the carpet padding, no amount of surface cleaning will remove it or the smell. Extraction pulls the moisture and mold spores out of the fibers and pad, then we treat what's left with the right antimicrobial products. The result: no mold, no smell, and no recurrence.

 in

Smoke residue coats every fabric surface in a vehicle — carpets, upholstery, headliner, seat belts, cabin filter. Air fresheners cover the smell for a day; extraction removes the source. Whether the vehicle was owned by a smoker, had a recent incident, or has years of accumulated cigarette smell, we extract the residue and treat the interior to eliminate the odor at the source. This is one of the most dramatic before-and-afters in detailing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between vacuuming and hot-water extraction?

A regular vacuum only lifts loose surface dirt. Hot-water extraction injects hot cleaning solution deep into carpet and upholstery fibers and immediately extracts it back out along with the dissolved dirt, stains, salt, odors, and bacteria that a vacuum can't reach. It's the same technology professional carpet cleaners use in homes, applied to your vehicle.

Can extraction remove salt stains from Michigan winters?

Yes — this is one of the biggest reasons customers call us. Salt stains look permanent because household carpet cleaners just dissolve the salt and dry it back into the fibers. Hot-water extraction dissolves the salt and physically removes it from the carpet in one motion — floor mats, carpet, door panel cloth, and cargo areas.

Can you remove pet hair with extraction?

Yes — pet hair removal is one of our specialties. Regular vacuums push embedded fur around instead of lifting it out. We use specialized tools and extraction techniques that pull deeply embedded fur out of carpet fibers, cloth and leather seats, and cargo areas. Works on short hair, long hair, white hair on dark interiors, and fur ground in for months.

Can extraction remove mold from a vehicle?

Yes — mold removal is one of our most requested extraction services. Leaky sunroofs, flooded floor pans, water damage from any source — we extract the moisture, treat the mold at the source with appropriate cleaners, and remove the musty smell for good. We don't cover odors up, we eliminate them.

Will extraction eliminate smoke odor?

Yes — smoke odor removal usually requires deep extraction combined with targeted odor treatment. Smoke residue coats every fiber in your interior — carpets, upholstery, headliner, seat belts. Extraction pulls the residue out of the fibers, and follow-up treatment neutralizes the smell rather than masking it. Works on cigarette smoke, cigar smoke, and previous-owner smoke.

Can you remove food and beverage stains?

Yes — coffee, juice, soda, milkshakes, ice cream, food grease, ketchup, wine, chocolate — extraction handles all of it, even stains that have been sitting for months. Older stains may lighten rather than fully disappear depending on how long they've been set and what caused them, but the results are usually dramatic.

How long does deep vacuuming and extraction take?

A standard deep vacuum and extraction service typically runs 2 to 4 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. Heavy-condition vehicles with extensive staining, mold, or embedded pet hair can run 4 to 6 hours. We give you an honest time estimate when we quote.

Do you bring your own water and power?

Yes. We arrive fully self-contained. All we need from you is access to your vehicle.
